VDI Solutions: 3 Paths to VDI Success

HVE ConneXions VDI Appliances are designed to provide a rich end-user experience without expensive infrastructure costs in the datacenter. Our engineers focus on all aspects of the end user desktop experience, which is device agonistic and solution orientated, as noted in Figure 1. HVE utilizes VMWare View along with Teradici's PC-over-IP APEX2800 Offload engine cards to provide the best end-user experience in the industry.

HVE ConneXions utilizes the VMware vSphere Stack along with standard VMWare View configurations, engineered specifically for our platforms. The fundamentals of the configuration do not change with our HVE base solutions, rather only enhanced for performance, optimization, cost, and operations. Having the engineering agility of the open platforms allows our engineers to develop unique solutions for our customers.

HVE VDI architecture is based upon stateless virtual desktops that require no user data stored on the individual desktop. Instead we utilize VMware's Persona management and Windows GPO's to manage user data. This allows our compute raid to operate very efficiently and to scale and become a “liquid” windows operating system. This architecture provides optimal performance and still allows user customization, which gives HVE VDI Appliances the best performance from end-to-end.

HVE has distinguished itself from most VDI compute companies by utilizing the concept of converged and standalone compute servers. Our philosophy is based around the architecture and the delivery of the best optimal compute to end user devices.

Our HVE VDI Appliance offers 3 basic configuration types: Standalone, Cloud Hotspot, and Tethered.

Stand Alone

HVE Stand Alone

Stand Alone HVE Systems are great for starting a new VDI environment. It comes fully configured and ready to deploy.

Cloud Hotspot

HVE Cloud Hotspot

HVE Systems can be used to create a Cloud "Hotspot" at a remote location. This setup is ideal for branch offices or other locations separated from the main data center that do not have sufficient bandwidth or other resources to communicate effectively with the central infrastructure.

Tethered

HVE Thethered

Tethered HVE Systems are designed to tie into existing infrastructure. It is an efficient and cost-effective way to expand desktop pools.
